How to choose the perfect camping location?

The majority of the state or national forest parks however are usually very basic. You will probably find fire rings, picnic tables, and pit toilets. The good news is that these campgrounds are very affordable as they may be free or only cost a few dollars per day.
In order to choosing a campsite that will be right for you, it’s important to know what it is you want to get out of your camping experience. If you cannot find the campground you are interested in on the Internet, consider phoning a national or state park. Talk with the ranger or information desk and ask questions.
Find out if it has campgrounds that are family oriented or better suited for hunters or fishermen. Ask what the rates are and any particular rules you may be concerned about.

For example, do you plan on bringing any pets on your camping trip? Ask or check to see if there are any particular regulations you need to be concerned with. Also ask if you can reserve a spot in advance.
Campgrounds do fill up early during nice weather
Note that during nice weather people tend to settle in early. If you want a premium spot you have to come early and get lucky.
